Nestled in the heart of the Vermont countryside you’ll find River Road Farm, an idyllic venue that was the perfect setting for S + Z to tie the knot. Leaving NYC behind, they met all their favorite people here for their Autumn destination wedding. The day was warm, inviting, and full of joie de vivre.
Beautifully orchestrated by Claudia at Harlow Dahlia Events, S + Z were able to show up and enjoy themselves with nary a care in the world. As it should be. Wedding planning is so nuanced (shout out to weather in New England) and hiring a pro to help you navigate the journey is vital.
From the first look in front of an ivy wall to the heartfelt ceremony overlooking a pond and mountain view, the natural beauty of The Green Mountain State enriched the day with its lush greens, fresh air, and down home hospitality. The perfect place for a cool, Brooklyn couple to escape the city, celebrate love, and give their guests a mini vacation to boot.
The curated details really spoke to my Vermont loving heart: vintage VW for vibes, garden-style florals by Valley Flower Co and even a Ben & Jerry’s cart for that late night sugar rush. The iconic River Road Farm roofline was featured in the wax seals and personalized mule mugs delighted guests as a seating display. Intentionality was the name of the game and shone in every aspect—thoughtfulness is always in style.
Oh, did I mention the best part? Their dog Cooper joined the first look for a family photo and was the guest of honor at the reception. I’m a believer that our furry friends are family and welcome them to weddings with arms open wide. Retrieve my heart please, because this handsome guy has stolen it.
Without further adieu, here’s a selection of favorites from this gorgeous September day celebrating S+Z…
